Postcards from Japan part 1

Będąc w Japonii rzecz jasna odwiedziłam wiele świątyń. Pierwsza i moja ulubiona to Fushimi Inari w Kyoto, często obecnie nazywana Świątynią Geishy.
Najlepiej przed 7 rano. Nie ma tam wtedy prawie nikogo.
Można w ciszy i skupieniu przejść cały szlak. Wyrycie takiego życzenia to podobno kosztowna sprawa. Szkoda, że nie umiałam żadnego przeczytać :)
Naprawdę piękne miejsce i warto przejść cały szlak, żeby je całe zobaczyć.

When I was in Japan I visited a lot of templates of course. My first one and the best one I saw was Fushimi Inari in Kyoto. Nowadays is being called the Geisha Template because of the movie. Did you watch the Geisha Memoirs? There is a moment there, when young geisha-to-be is running to a template to leave a penny she got from a handsome guy and change it for a wish. The whole movie is full of beautiful pictures from Japan, but this moment is superb :)
To go to the template you should leave first thing in the morning. Before 7 am there are almost no people there and you can go through the whole trail without any disturbance. Yup I said trail :) Fushimi Inari is not just a template and a beautiful orange tunnel. It's the whole hill full of orange stakes. On each of them there is a wish/prayer written. I've heard it is very pricey thing. Sadly I wasn't able to read any :)
It is most beautiful place and it's worthy to get in the morning to see it. Although the whole climbing up the hill for 2h thing was a surprise for me :D I don't regret! On the top I felt like a Superwoman (which you can see on one of the photos below :)) The only thing left after that was to go through the whole trail back down :P

Little Geisha-to-be is running up the hill! NO WAY she went in those shoes up the whole trail! I know I did that :P

here you can see the wishes/prayers written on the sticks

and this is how the whole trail looks like. Not w walk in a park. Just saing.
Superwoman going down :)
